Position Overview
As the HR Manager, you will play a critical role in building and shaping the HR function at Enablence Technologies. This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on, experienced professional to establish foundational HR processes while developing a scalable strategy to support our workforce expansion. You will partner with leadership to align HR initiatives with our strategic goals, ensuring compliance, employee engagement, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
HR Strategy and Team Building
Develop and execute an HR strategy aligned with Enablence’s growth goals and core values.
Design and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs to support a rapidly growing workforce.
Build and lead an HR team over time, prioritizing key areas such as recruitment, employee development, and compliance.
Recruitment and Workforce Planning
Lead efforts to scale the workforce from 100 to 200 employees within 18-24 months.
Develop talent acquisition strategies, leveraging professional networks, job boards, and university partnerships.
Collaborate with hiring managers to define role requirements and manage the full recruitment lifecycle.
Employee Engagement and Retention
Design and implement initiatives to foster employee engagement and alignment with company values.
Establish mentorship and training programs to support career progression and technical skill development.
Monitor employee satisfaction through surveys and feedback mechanisms, addressing concerns proactively.
Compliance and Best Practices
Ensure HR operations comply with local labor laws in Canada, California, and China.
Align HR processes with ISO 9001:2015-certified standards and work towards IATF 16949 compliance for automotive applications.
Manage visa and work authorization processes for international hires.
HR Operations
Implement HR systems and tools to streamline processes such as payroll, benefits administration, and performance management.
Develop metrics and KPIs to track recruitment efficiency, retention rates, and employee engagement.
Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on organizational design, culture, and employee relations.
Requirements
Experience
Minimum of 7 years of HR experience, including 2+ years in a managerial or leadership role.
Proven experience in scaling HR operations in a high-growth environment, preferably in the semiconductor, technology, or manufacturing sectors.
Skills
Strong knowledge of HR best practices, compliance requirements, and talent acquisition strategies.
Demonstrated ability to design and implement HR policies and programs from scratch.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
Preferred
Experience in ISO-certified environments or industries requiring strict quality management standards.
Familiarity with scaling technical teams, especially in R&D and manufacturing.
